Few days back the State Level Painting Competition was organised by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power Govt. of India at Tagore theatre, Sector-18, Chandigarh. Mostly all the Schools of Punjab, Harayana and Chandigarh participated in this Competition and amongest 31 lacs paintings, only 300 paintings were selected. 150 of these students belonged to Junior Category and other 150 belonged to Senior Category. In Junior Category, Sachin Kumar of Lala Jagat Narain D.A.V Model School, Kabir Nagar, Jalandhar won Second position alongwith a Cash prize of Rs. 30,000/- while in Senior Category, Niyati of same school won Third position alongwith a cash prize of Rs. 20,000/-. This is a very bid achievement in itself. Our school achieved an Overall Trophy by winning in both categories and both the students were selected for the NATIONAL LEVEL Painting Competition.
