NSS unit of Lala Jagat Narain DAV Model School celebrated the World Handicapped day under the kind guidance of Principal Mrs. Anita Nanda by visiting the deaf and dumb school of Jalndhar city. the chief guest of this celebration Sr. Lakhbir singh advised all the students to co-operate with these physically challenged people. Madam Principal also announced to provide vocational training to these students.
Neta Ji House won the first position and shastri house was the runner up.
The ceremony started by lighting the lamp which signifies removal of darkness and the continuous upward movement of the flame denotes the path of wisdom and divinity. It was followed with the prayer and a song by the school choir. The event was presided over by the Principal and block in- charges. The elected leaders were conferred with badges and sashes by Honorable Principal Ma'am and Block in-charges .The elected school members are :- Head boy Bhanu Head girl - Chahat Vice Head boy - Sparsh Vice Head girl - Himanshi Assistant Head boy - Robin Assistant Head girl- Anandita LJN DAV Welfare Head - Prateek Shiva Ji House Captain - Tamish Neta Ji House Captain - Saksham Shastri House Captain - Tushar Nehru Ji House Captain - Manjinder The student's council took the pledge to hold the high motto of loyalty, Truth and Honor in high esteem. Principal Mrs. Anita Nanda congratulated the elected student council and gave inspiring speech on the importance of pursuing what one capable of rather than doing a bit of everything
The Primary Block organized a special assembly to highlight and light up the prominence of family bonds and relationships. Persuasive speeches and many activities highlighted the importance of the day. Senior Block-incharge Mrs. Rajni Gupta, Secondary Block-incharge Mrs. Suman Sharma, Primary Block-incharge Mrs. Seema Bhatia and Mrs. Romi in their address expressed the role of families in promoting early childhood education and lifelong learning opportunities for children and youth
Komal (Commerce) stood first in the school by securing 96.4%. She also obtained 100 marks in Accountancy subject. Nishtha (Non-Medical) achieved Second Position in the school by securing 94.6% marks. Nishta and Priya also secured 100 marks individually in the subject of Painting.
ax awareness programme was conducted by Income Tax department under the project "Swachh Bharat Swachh Dhan". Mrs. Rajni Gupta (Senior Secondary Block Incharge) welcomed Inspector Sunita Bhagat from Income Tax department. "Tax Tree" was planted in the school by concerned authorities. Oath was taken by students of the school to become ideal students and resposible citizens. Mrs. Suman Sharma, Mrs. Sushma, Mr. Vishal, Mr. Vimal also attended the programme. Excellent result of students of Class XII of Lala Jagat Narain DAV Model School with QPI 80.9%. Inderveer Singh XII commerce stood first in school with 96.8%. Bhavini of XII commerce got second position in school with 95% marks. Karan and Muskan Kapoor bagged third position collectively with 94% marks. All the students got first division. Students passed with flying colors and school showed 100% pass percentage worthy Principal Mrs. Anita Nanda congratulated students for their wonderful result and gave blessings to them for their bright future.

Niyati of Lala Jagat Narayan DAV Model School won second prize in the National Level Painting Competition 😘 Recently, a national level painting competition was organised by "Pushpa Gujral Science City" in collaboration with "Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India".This was a "Poster Making Competition"organised on the occasion of "World Earth Day" on the theme "Invest in our planet" under which competitive students displayed different themes to save earth.About 1000 students of about 40 schools of Punjab took part in this competition.This students of Lala Jagat Narain DAV Model School Kabir Nagar, Jalandhar also participated in this competition. Niyati Aggarwal,a student of the same school got second position in this competition and was also given a cheque of Rs.1000.
